Protecting you as our user and your data is our highest priority.
Network Security
CoScreen uses a P2P (peer-to-peer) connection whenever you and a second participant can connect directly (e.g. when no corporate firewalls or proxies are between the two of you). That way none of your audio, video, window and control input feeds touch our servers and they are additionally end-to-end encrypted using DTLS-SRTP.
Video Infrastructure
Otherwise, up to a dozen participants can collaborate using an enterprise-grade, HIPAA-compatible video infrastructure with hundreds of servers around the globe that run the mature open-source framework Jitsi (more on https://jitsi.org). All video data is encrypted using DTLS-SRTP during transmission and in addition, we’re planning to support end-to-end encryption also for this scenario soon.
Data Storage
CoScreen does neither record nor store any shared information (e.g. shared windows, audio, video or remote control input).
CoScreen only captures usage statistics to make sure the server infrastructure and client capabilities are optimized for how users use CoScreen (e.g. number of active channels/users).
